Msgr. Amos J. Vincent was honored September 4,
1999 at a special Mass at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral for fifty
years of dedicated and faithful service as a priest. Bishop Jude
Speyrer and priests from all over the Diocese of Lake Charles participated
in the ceremony. Msgr. Groth, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven, delivered
a very eloquent and inspiring biography for Msgr. Vincent.
Msgr. was instrumental in the initiation of many programs that serve
the Diocese of Lake Charles and beyond. These Diocese improvements
will continue to serve all of us for many years to come thanks to Msgr.
Vincent.
He served as the Faithful Friar of the Msgr. Cramers Assembly of
the Knights of Columbus for more than fourteen years. All of the
members and ladies looked forward to attending each meeting to hear Msgr.
Vincent deliver his informative and inspiring talks.
