1979-80. The
big event in the administration of Faithful Navigator
WILLIAM F. COTTON was the celebration of the
assembly's 35th birthday. The Supreme Master, Daniel L. McCormick of New
Haven, Connecticut, attended the anniversary banquet, along with Bishops
Charles P. Greco and Jude Speyrer.
Another major event was the establishment of the Diocese of Lake
Charles, and the assembly Color Corps mounted a Guard of Honor for the
members of the Catholic hierarchy present at the installation of Bishop
Speyrer.
Thirteen new members were added to the assembly rolls during an
Exemplification held in Morgan City, and once again the Master's Award
went to Msgr. Cramers Assembly.
