1975-76. The
Church celebrated a Holy Year during Faithful Navigator LUDERIN L.
DARBONE'S term, and the assembly Color Corps mounted a Guard of
Honor in collaboration with the Fourth Degree Knights of Peter Claver for
an area-wide Holy Year Rally held in the Lake Charles Civic Center.
The approaching 200th birthday of the nation was celebrated during the
anniversary banquet, which was dedicated to "200 Years of
Franco-American Friendship." Alaion Gouhir, the Consul General of
France from New Orleans, was a guest speaker.
The Color Corps also participated in the blessing and dedication of Our
Lady of the Oaks Monastery, and 16 new members joined the assembly in an
Exemplification held in Lafayette. Master Tanos Joseph presented the
Master's Award to the assembly for the 1974-75 & 1975-76 terms.
