1959-60.
LOUIS MILAZZO took
the helm of the assembly on July 1, 1959, and the assembly participated in
many of the standard activities. An unusual opportunity occurred when
Faithful Navigator Milazzo was able to represent the assembly at a
testimonial dinner held on October 16th in the Majestic Hotel honoring
John F. Kennedy, a candidate for the presidency of the United States.
In
May, the Rev. Harry Benefiel, a Past Faithful Navigator of the assembly,
was ordained to the priesthood. The assembly voted him a purse of $250,
and Father Benefiel attended the May meeting of the assembly to express
his thanks. After the meeting, Father Benefiel gave his personal blessing
to each member.
