1957-58.
J. LEE LEBLANC of
Sulphur was elected to lead the assembly and took office in July of 1957.
During his term, the
assembly's Color Corp acted as a Guard of Honor
for Bishop Schexnayder for two occasions: The dedication of the new
Catholic Student Center at McNeese State College, and the ground-breaking
ceremonies for the church of the newly-established Our Lady Queen of
Heaven Parish in south Lake Charles.
In April, Bishop Schexnayder was again on hand for double duty:
The dedication of the new church for Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish and
ground-breaking for the home of newly-organized Our Lady Queen of Heaven
Council 4562.
The assembly recruited 10 new members for the 1958 Exemplification
held in Lafayette
