1955-56.
STERLING TROUARD, a
member of newly-formed St. Margaret Council 3208, succeeded Benoit at the
assembly's helm and continued most of the assembly's standard programs.
In April of 1955, a total of 38 new members were added during the annual
exemplification in Alexandria.
In May, the Fourth Degree District Convention was held in Lake Charles
for the first time, and assembly members participated in all events. In
his report, the Worthy Master, Frank Foret, announced that Msgr. Cramers
Assembly had won the Master's Award for each of the two years of his term.
The assembly mounted a Guard of Honor, under the command of Frank
Pivonka, for the Silver Jubilee of its Faithful Friar, Msgr. Louis H.
Boudreaux, and for the two Bishops who attended: The Most Rev. Jules B.
Jeanmard, Bishop of Lafayette, and his Auxiliary, the Most Rev. Maurice
Schexnayder.
